Taos Ski Valley 2025 Trip Recap

When and Where

When and Where

When and Where

When- February, 23rd to March 1st, 2025

Where- Taos Ski Valley in New Mexico

Trip Leaders- Jeannie Conway and Monica Jablonski

This was the Powder Dogs first trip to Taos Ski Valley and it turned out to be a great trip even though they needed snow. 17 Powder Dogs flew into Albuquerque and we had a 3 hour bus trip to the resort.

The club stayed at Snakedance condos which were located just steps from the base chairlifts. They provided the shuttle from the airport. The Snakedance service was some of the best we ever had. They supplied sandwiches and drinks on the bus, then supplied us with insulated shopping bags for our shopping stop, transported all our luggage and shopping bags to our rooms, gave a welcome party with guest speakers, and at the end of the week, they picked up our luggage from our room.

We had 7 nights lodging in a 2bd/2ba at the Snakedance condos and the condos were very nice and roomy. Ski lockers were provided and conveniently located just steps from the lift.

We had a club dinner at the manager of the Snakedance home which was a pleasant surprise. We took another trip into Taos for sight seeing and a dinner at Doc Martins.  Our trip leader Jeannie and Monica held a club breakfast in their condo.

Unfortunately, snow conditions were not the best on this trip. No fault of the resort, just bad timing on our end. No one skied the black runs because we would have damaged our skis. But the blue and green runs were okay and groomed nicely. No one complained about the weather as we had 6 days of blue skies with temps in the 30's and 40's. It turned out to be a fun trip even with a lack of  fresh snow.
