About the Powder Dogs

who we are and do

The Powder Dogs Ski and Snowboard Club is a non profit organization that provides trips and year round social activities for their members. The club was started in 2015 by Rick and Laurie, owners of the now closed Alpine Accessories. Members in the early years were Alpine Accessories customers who wanted a club closer to them in the NW suburbs of Chicago. The Powder Dogs are still the only ski and snowboard club in McHenry county.

Since 2015, the Powder Dogs membership has grown to what is now over 100 members. Powder Dogs members ages range from 4 - 80 and from singles to families. We have members that have met at a club and have become life long friends and spouses. When you join the Powder Dogs, you'll make new friends that share your passion for the slopes and you'll have some one of your ability level to ski with.

You'll also get group rates on trip packages arranged by the club.  The club offers trips to many of your favorite destinations. Attending a Powder Dogs meeting allows you to get to know us and acquire info about our trips and activities. If you have a question and can't attend a meeting, browse this website, or send us an email at info@powderdogs.org.
