The Powder Dogs Ski and Snowboard Club is a non profit organization that provides trips and social activities for their members. It was started by Rick and Laurie, the owners of Alpine Accessories, in 2005. Members in the early years were employees and a few Alpine Accessories customers who wanted a club closer to them in the NW suburbs of Chicago. The Powder Dogs is the only ski and snowboard club in McHenry county and while skiing and snowboarding are the club's main focus, the Powder Dogs offer a variety of social activities year round.
Over the years, the Powder Dogs membership has grown to over 100 members. Powder Dogs have a wide range of members ranging from ages 4 - 80 and from singles to families. We have members that have met at a club and have become life long friends and spouses. When you become a Powder Dogs member, you'll make new friends that share your passion for the slopes.
The Powder Dogs offers day, weekend, and week trips to many of your favorite destinations. For more information, attend a Powder Dogs meeting and get to know us. Meetings are free and the members don't bite. Otherwise use the chat button in the bottom right hand corner or send us an email at info@powderdogs.org. As a Powder Dog, you'll meet fellow skiers and boarders that share your passion for the slopes. You'll have some one with your ability level to ski with and you'll get group rates on trip packages arranged by the club.
