We had 10 Powder Dogs attend this event. Included was the paddleboard, paddle, vest and a 30 minute lesson. Afterwards, some of us went to The Quarry wakeboard park for an outdoor lunch. The Board House is one of the best places to paddle board. It's on a 330 acre lake with clear water that has 8 islands, 5 bays, plenty of fish and wildlife to see, and NO motor boats to create waves. Plus we had a perfect weather day.

Recap 2021:
At the paddleboard outing, everyone got a 30 minute beginner stand up paddleboard lesson from one of the Board House instructors. After the lesson, everyone got 90 minutes of on water fun. A few of us went to the Quarry for a bite to eat afterwards.
Recap 2020: Even though is drizzled a bit Rick, Jim, Karen, Cindy and I went on a paddle around Three Oaks South Lake. Rick gave paddling pro tips to make everyone able to paddle easier and more efficiently.
Recap 2017: We couldn't have a better weather day. Sunny, low 80's and a 10 mph winds. 12 people showed up and received a lesson from the head instructor of the Board House and then enjoyed 90 minutes of fun on the water to enjoy one of the best lakes in northern Illinois for paddleboarding.
Recap 2016: 14 Powder Dogs attended this paddle board event that was rescheduled from July 19 which was rained out. A 30 minute beginner lesson, 90 minutes paddleboarding, a sandwich, chips, and beverage were provided.
Recap 2014: The stand up paddleboard lesson and 3 hours of paddleboarding was FREE if you are a current paid member! Bring your own lunch and drinks (No alcohol allowed in 3 Oaks) or you can purchase at Culver's located at 3 Oaks.
Everyone received a Level 1 Stand Up Paddleboard lesson for FREE, compliment's of Alpine Accessories instructors. Everyone learned how to size and hold your paddle correctly, how to paddle and control your board, how and where to stand on the board and how to get back on if you fall. After lessons, we had some time practicing and participants had fun competing against each other on a buoyed course. Then at 1:00 some members stuck around for a picnic.
