MEET AT: Take Rte 176 east and turn right on Green Bay Rd (Rte.131) and go 1.5 miles and turn right on W. Laurel Ave and go .4 miles where parking is located. We will meet there at 10 AM.
THE TRAIL: You'll head south on the Skokie Valley Bike Path which is approximately 9 miles long, fully paved and runs through Lake Forest and Northbrook. It will take us within a couple blocks of the entrance to The Chicago Botanic Garden. There we can ride the bike path which winds around inside the Garden. We will stop for lunch at the Garden View Cafe which has a healthy and delicious menu priced at $10-15. The summer perennials should be in full bloom and we can walk around the various gardens if we choose. We will return the way we came and the total trip will be about 20 miles.
This is a repeat of the May 25th ride when we saw the spring flowers in bloom. This is a very educational trip.
