About Powder Dogs

The Powder Dogs Ski and Snowboard Club is a non profit organization that provides social activities for their members. Started in 2005 by Rick and Laurie Pasturczak from Alpine Accessories, most members are from the NW suburbs of Chicago. The Powder Dogs are the only ski and snowboard club in McHenry county and while skiing and snowboarding are the club's main focus, the Powder Dogs plan social activities year round.

The Powder Dogs meet on the 3rd Tuesday of the month and meetings are free to the public. You're welcome to bring a friend. Many times there is a guest speaker at meetings talking about ski or snowboard topics. Past guest speakers have included patrollers, instructors, manufacturers reps, foot doctors, Chiropractors, and from our sponsor Alpine Accessories to offer you advice and tips.

The Powder Dogs have a wide range of members ranging from ages 4 - 80, from singles to families. When you become a Powder Dogs member, you'll make new friends that share your passion for the slopes. We have members that met at a club meeting and become life long friends and family. You'll receive discounts on trips and lift tickets because we get group rates.

The club offers day, weekend and week trips to many favorite destinations.

For more information, email or call us. Better yet, come to a Powder Dogs meeting and visit. We don't bite.
